      Job Skills: Requirements: • Degree or equivalent in electrical and electronic engineering or physical science subject with proven experience as a Process Engineer in the semiconductor industry, working on etch equipment. • A thorough knowledge of semiconductor process technology. • Good level of commercial awareness. • Self motivating and able to use initiative. • Able to work well in teams either as a member or a leader. • Ability to communicate well with both technical and production personnel. • Must be good at problem solving. • Must be able to mentor/train technicians. • Must have sound understanding of SPC. • Must be able to make data driven decisions. • Knowledge and experience in any of the following: Tegal 901/903 etchers, Lam 490 etchers, Omega2 metal etcher, Silicon Carbide etching preferred. This role will cover 24/7 for approximately 6 months, working 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off. Hours of work will be 7:30 am to 7:30 pm on Day Shift and 7:30 pm to 7:30 am on Night Shift, working 2 days and 2 nights. This shift will attract a 30% shift allowance. Hours of work after the 6 month period to be determined.

    • In this role, you will work within the Process Engineering team to sustain and improve the processes involved in the manufacture of semiconductors.

      Responsibilities

      •    Maintain control of allocated wafer fabrication processes.
      •    Improve the capability of these processes.
      •    Identify and cure problems arising with these processes.
      •    Ensure accurate documentation (engineering and operator specifications) for these processes exists.
      •    Work on process improvement projects
      •    Provide technical guidance for the process technicians.
      •    Evaluate new materials and production equipment required to improve these processes or for new processes.
      •    Develop and characterise new process stages to extend our capabilities and to document such work in technical reports.
      •    Compile technical reports.
      •    Advise manufacturing in the disposition of non-conforming material.
      •    Assist  manufacturing as required to help meet the operational needs of the department.
      •    Demonstrate a proactive and CMI approach to improving processes and operating procedures
